Decadence and glamour is staging a comeback in the West End as one of Green Park’s gems steps back onto the scene with a classy new look and sassy attitude.

Henry’s Cafe Bar, Piccadilly, – across the road from Green Park and around the corner from London’s designer shopping mecca, Mayfair – has always had an eclectic atmosphere. Here, London’s city slickers, socialites and foodies rub elbows with enthusiastic tourists, all with a common goal – to enjoy some of the city’s friendliest service and affordable food and drink.

The former art deco building is now a celebration of modern design, featuring subtle yet stylish touches of contemporary, such as brass serverypendants, reflective wall coverings, bevelled edged mirrors and an illuminated art chimney wall. Guests can give themselves a moment to relax in soft lounge chairs or glamorous leather booths whilst sipping on a glass of bubbly, a tasty cocktail or picking up a pint of classic British craft beer, cask ale or cider.

Recognising customers need to stay connected on-the-go, USB points for those crucial moments when you run out of juice and of course, free Wi-Fi.

The words classic and chic come to mind when one eyes the drinks menu, which is filled with a plethora of cocktails, such as the Original Mojito, Pornstar Martini, Cosmopolitan, Key West Cooler and Strawberry Daiquiri. But wait, there’s more! You’ll be savouring every sip with over 20 wines from across the globe and four champagnes, alongside Italian prosecco and English fizz. For those who prefer something alcohol free, there is a choice of five, fruity-fresh smoothies or ice cold frappes to cool down during hot summer nights.

There are also a bundle of pints to sample, such as craft beers including: Brewdog Punk IPA, Meantime Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada and Hophouse 13.

If the interior is a feast for the eyes, the menu is a full-on banquet for the taste buds. The best of British food culture meets innovation with an abundance of mouth-watering meals to sample. From juicy burgers, puff pastry pies, sharers plates and make-your-own-salads to feel-good-food such as thesuper-food vegetarian courgette cannelloni (low-calorie galore!) and international inspiration including Asian platters and middle-eastern tostada. As if that’s not enough, there’s always the sizzling grills or the sandwich list to ponder as well.

No indulgent meal is compl
ete without a dessert (or at least we think so!). Treat yourself to a slice of heaven with a choice of hot chocolate-puddle pudding, caramel apple crumble pie, a salted caramel bar or a cookie cup. Pair with a spicy Robusta and Arabica coffee or a teapigs cuppa.
