Popular Bath pub, The Lamb & Lion, has reopened following an exciting six-figure investment, creating three new jobs within the local community.

Following a short closure, the pub has reopened, reaffirming its place as a much-loved fixture in the hearts of Bath locals. Reopening in time for the Bath Christmas Markets, it continues to serve as the go-to destination for a refreshing pint and a satisfying bite to eat.

A popular destination for football fans and sports enthusiasts, the pub has taken its game to the next level with a major upgrade to its viewing experience. A number of HD screens have been installed, ensuring guests can catch every moment of the action from any spot in the venue.

With four Sky Q boxes that can show Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Premier Sports all available on HD screens, guests at The Lamb & Lion can choose what game they want to watch and won’t miss a second of the action, with the pub showing all the big games.

What’s more, the investment has led to an increase in capacity of 46, making the pub more spacious than ever.

Following a full redecoration, the venue has been refreshed to retain its familiar charm, complemented with vibrant feature walls and new mood lighting that creates a warm atmosphere within the pub.

One of the most sought-after additions will be the new bookable booths that are equipped with a HD TV screen – making them the perfect space to sit down, enjoy a few cold pints and watch your team (hopefully!) take home three points.

Located near popular walking spots, dogs are more than welcome in the outdoor area of the pub, making the venue a favoured spot for guests popping in for a pint with their pooch, with water and treats available behind the bar.

The Lamb & Lion also boasts a fine selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive price points in the area. The pub also has an extensive offering of no and low alcohol drinks, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.

Jonathan Langan, General Manager at The Lamb and Lion, said: “I’m delighted to welcome everyone back to our pub following its brief closure. We’ve kept everything our guests know and love, while making thoughtful improvements where it was needed, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the difference.

“This refresh is all about enhancing the overall guest experience, and with how much Bath loves The Lamb and Lion, we’re confident they’ll really appreciate the hard work that’s gone into improving the pub over the past few weeks.”

Reopening with a bang, the pub is all set to host a huge ‘Minute to Win it’ competition this Saturday during the huge England v New Zealand rugby match to win an England rugby shirt. All you have to do is donate £5 and choose two winning minutes a try/conversion could be scored in to be entered into the draw with any other potential winners.

What’s more, all those that don’t win will receive a complimentary pint ensuring everyone is a winner.

But it’s not just on opening weekend there’s shirts to win, the pub will be raffling off shirts throughout December with Bath Rugby, Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal shirts all up for grabs. All money raised from these initiatives will be donated to the Royal United Hospital.

The pub also boasts a stacked weekly events schedule with Monday’s Bingo Night, Tuesday Games Night and student socials on Wednesday and Thursday with MiXR app users unlocking exclusive student discounts.

Friday night is Funky Friday with an exciting selection of nineties and noughties cocktails which are 2-4-1 all day while sport is shown throughout the weekend with Sunday hosting the pub’s beloved roast dinner offering.
