Cuddle up in front of a cosy fireplace in one of many Classic Inns across the country as the chefs present a special menu filled to the brim with delectable dishes and treats for lovers to taste.

Sharing some love of its own, each pub will also be treating guests to a glass of Prosecco, on the house, as they choose amongst mouth-watering, finger-licking good dishes from the St. Valentine’s menu.

Start off with a taste of the Mediterranean – crispy golden Calamari dusted with paprika and garlic aioli or flavours from Jamaica, sampling jerk-marinated Chicken Skewers covered in a hot and spicy glaze served with baby watercress, sour cream and a mint andamp; cucumber dip.

On a first date? Why not share a soft box baked French Camembert or treat yourselves to a buffet from the sea with the Fish Deli Board.

Classic British dishes rule the main menu with plenty to tickle your taste buds. Choose amongst five heavenly options including the natural aphrodisiac Warm Five-Layered Chocolate Cake; tangy Lemon Meringue Pie with a side of cream; Luxury Salted Caramel Bar and its layers of truffle on a chocolaty biscuit base and Manchester Custard Tart filled with vanilla custard, topped with a layer of raspberry jam and coconut flakes.

Sam Maynard, Marketing Executive for the Classic Inns estate, said: “Valentine’s isn’t just about love, it’s about taking a moment to appreciate your nearest and dearest, whether that be a friend, family or significant other. This menu was created with that vision in mind, a gorgeous feast of food. We want guests to focus on their company and let us take care of the rest.

“If you don’t fancy a full meal, why not just pop in for a glass of delicious Dryland Pinot Noir or Waipara Hills Pinot Grigio?”

The Valentine’s menu will be available at £15.99 for three courses (including a complimentary glass of Prosecco) starting on Friday 12th February and ending at close of play on Sunday 14th February.
