It’s urban, cool and crafted with pizza and tapas, craft beer, the ultimate in sports viewing, cocktail master classes, and it’s arriving in Wolverhampton 8th November.

In a £300,000 overhaul by owners Stonegate Pub Company, also creating a dozen new jobs, the Hogshead has magically captured the tradition of its popular sports following with a contemporary choice of areas to roam and meet your pub-loving mood of the day.

Room with a cue, Room with a Brew, and Yard of Ale say it all with an industrialised and reclaimed look of the main bar adding to the diversity.

Multiple screens, Sky and BT Sports, and five zones add to the already renowned sports experience. The new ‘Room with a Cue’ room is second only to the outside ‘Yard of Ale’, a spectacle in itself with a huge mural and large screen, heating and a very special nod to the local boys in gold and black on the floor. There will be Wi-Fi to help supporters keep up with match day scores and match day crowds will be kept hydrated with a new and improved outside bar.

In keeping with the craft ale revolution, neon lit ‘Room with a Brew’, will play host to many a future ‘Meet the Brewer’ celebrating an extended ten cask ales, eight craft beers and ciders.

General manager Nigel Moore said: “We’ve completely modernised and the place looks totally amazing but more than that we’ve accounted for the every need of today’s pub-goer.

“Our opening week is an insight into what customer can expect. We open at 10am Tuesday, with evening acoustics and open mic; Wednesday is our gaming showcase using retro consoles and a variety of other card and board games; Thursday we will launch our new look quiz; and then we are in full flow Friday with England playing Scotland in a world cup qualifier, after which we will crank it up for the evening session! There is also a meet the brewer event with hosts, Sadlers on Friday. Saturday and Sunday is a full weekend of Sport including Football, home nations rugby, NFL and much more to go with the grand slam of darts down at the Civic Centre.

“Friday is of course the world cup qualifier between England and Scotland. I need say no more other than apply for VIP tickets at https://www.facebook.com/HogsheadWolverhampton/.”

Brand new cocktail master classes are being introduced, giving you your chance to style it out behind the bar and add some flare to your night with funky new cocktails, such as ‘Release the Kraken’. Cocktails are also 2-4-1 every Monday to Friday 5-8pm so you can forget about work and relax in the comfy new booths.

An authentic stone-baked pizza oven, all the way from Italy, has been brought in to bake the new range eleven delicious pizza options. Classic Margarita to chicken and chorizo topped with smoked chilli sauce; funghi and tarragon to American Hot with pepperoni and jalapenos; add a vast range of tasty toppings, enough to make the ultimate protein pizza and personalised recipe. Pizza Thursdays make the whole treat better at 2-4-1 all day.

Other on trend additions include Tacos; Burritos; Salads and lighter dishes; Wing Wednesday features 30 wings at £7.50; Fizz Fridays, a bottle of Prosecco for £14.
