Historic pub, The Saddle, has reopened following an incredible six-figure transformation, marking the next chapter in the pub’s rich history.
The pub, which celebrates its 250th birthday this year, is a pillar of the Blackpool community, having served generations of Blackpudlians, with this investment set to allow the pub to continue to provide a best-in-class drinking and dining experience for many years to come.
Reopening with a new menu, the popular pub will now be serving a stacked range of delicious dishes. From meaty grills to incredible pizzas to a tasty range of breakfasts available at the weekend, the new menu is set to go down a storm with locals.
Inside, The Saddle has undergone a full refurbishment, featuring stylish new décor throughout and wood-laminate flooring that gives the bar a fresh, inviting feel.
Outside, major renovation works have taken place with the beer garden now being extended, increasing the capacity by 40. The outdoor area, which is now partially astro turfed, has been completed with comfortable new furniture, festoon lighting and a range of new plants, making the garden look better than ever.
What’s more, a huge 75” HD TV has been installed to complete the garden, making it the best place to go to watch the big game, especially during the summer when England bid for World Cup glory.
Showing all the major sports channels, the pub is Blackpoool’s home of live sport, with football, cricket, F1, golf and many more sports available on all the pub’s many HD TV screens, with the pub particularly popular with fans of Blackpool FC.
Dogs are also welcome throughout all areas of the pub, with The Saddle being a popular spot for dog walkers with Stanley Park just a short distance away.
The Saddle also boasts a fine selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive prices in the area. The pub also has an extensive offering of no and low alcohol drinks, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.
Sue Jackson, General Manager of The Saddle, said: “We are thrilled to be reopening our pub after this investment, we have missed all our regulars!
“This refresh is all about enhancing the overall guest experience with the new outdoor area at the heart of that, we can’t wait to see locals enjoying the new beer garden that we’ve been working so hard on behind the scenes.
“We’re also really looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks of our new menu. Launching as part of the reopening, there’s some incredibly tasty dishes that people are going to love! I’m particularly excited about the new pizza range as they taste fantastic!”
Proud to be a part of the Blackpool community, the pub also sponsors a local football team, Saddle FC, with the Sunday league team often found frequenting the pub after celebrating a win.
The pub boasts a stacked weekly events schedule with a reason to visit every day. It’s games night on Monday, cask ale club on Tuesday, the popular quiz returns on Thursday while monthly live music can be enjoyed on The Saddle’s famous Friday night parties. Over the weekend, sport is shown across all the big screens, with the pub particularly popular with horse racing fans.
