Renowned Sheringham pub, The Crown, has reopened following an exciting six-figure investment, creating nine new jobs in the local community.
Found in the stunning seaside town of Sheringham, the pub boasts incredible panoramic views of North Norfolk’s coastline and is popular with locals and tourists alike. From sunrise to sunset the Crown is perfectly placed to spend the entire day. As part of the six-figure investment, the pub will now reside in Stonegate Group’s Pubsmiths division.
Pubsmiths are a small batch of hand-picked British pubs, perfectly crafted for guests who want great food, great company and a reliable place to relax and have fun.
Following a full redecoration, the venue has been complemented by new decor designed to improve the guest experience, with all additions being carefully positioned to retain the building’s natural charm while enhancing its facilities.
Stylish new furniture and lighting are set to bring a newfound sense of comfort to the Sheringham pub, while the side bar has been moved and improved, to allow for a smoother and quicker service when ordering one of the pub’s premium world lagers.
Outside, cosy new beach huts are set to be the perfect destination to enjoy an ice-cold pint and a bite to eat in the sunshine or take shelter when the weather turns. A fresh lick of paint is set to enhance the pub’s curb appeal, making a trip to The Crown look more inviting than ever.
Located by the seaside, dogs are more than welcome at the pub, making the venue a favoured spot for guests popping in for a pint with their pet, with water and treats available behind the bar, courtesy of Woofchesters.
The Crown will also be the proud sponsor of this year’s Potty Festival. The pub strongly believes in this festival, which kicks off the summer season for Sheringham and is a wonderful spectacle for all the town’s residents and visitors alike. The Potty Festival is a non-profit event and to ensure its long-term success, The Crown is happy to be a sponsor of the community event.
Jamie Hogwood, Regional Manager for the area, said: “It’s amazing to see The Crown looking so good after this huge investment – we can’t wait to show everyone around! We’ve added to our team, the welcome’s just as warm, and we’ve got loads of exciting events coming up.
“This move to Pubsmiths is all about enhancing the overall guest experience, and with how much North Norfolk loves The Crown, we’re confident they’ll really appreciate the hard work that’s gone into improving the pub and will love trying out the new food and drink offering.”
