Yates’s in South Shields is planning to kick start celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by hosting a music and comedy night in aid of Marie Curie Cancer.
Local drag artist and comedian, Gina Strings, will give an exclusive performance of her debut album ‘Superwoman’ – a high energy combination of house, disco and funk – at the event to be held on Thursday 31 May. Entrance to the night at Yates’s on Mile End Road is free with donations on the door and throughout the evening going to Marie Curie Cancer.
Customers will also be wowed throughout the evening, which starts at 7pm, by magician Paul McKiernan, comedian Sue Aleen and acoustic soloist Martin Trollope.
“We wanted to start the Diamond Jubilee celebrations with a bang and Gina will certainly do that. She, along with renowned comedian Sue Aleen, will have you laughing your socks off. What a great way to see in a four day bank holiday!” said General Manager Gill Bell.
