Nottingham’s bustling city life has certainly seen its fair share of niche bar openings in recent months but none boast the diverse appeal more so than the latest £300k refurbishment in the creative quarter of the city.

‘Faradays’ (previously known as the Cape) on Pelham Street opens for the first time on Friday 22nd July, where the boutiques, vintage shops and chill cafes of Hockley meet the hip vibrancy of the Lace Market.

With an extended licence until 2am at weekends, increased capacity and features that would turn the head of every fashionista and hipster; shopaholic and worker, it’s guaranteed to add to the city’s opulence and prosperity. Already 11 new jobs have been created.

The design can’t be missed. A stunning spiral staircase, the centerpiece of the new gritty industrially designed bar, integrating the second floor ‘Static Attic;’ a distressed look for gin and cocktail lovers to lavish in as they overlook the balustrades onto the bar below.

Breathing fresh life into the heart of the city, there’s no question as to the offer for beer aficionados – four cask ales including local award winning beers and six taps offering the city’s most eye-catching back-wall shrine to the craft ale revolution.

Promising day to night, guilty pleasures, a few delights to mention include cocktails 2-4-1, Monday to Friday 5-8pm and all day Saturday and Sunday; urban food from delicious Tapas, to the piece de resistance, a variety of ten hand-stretched, stone baked pizzas to suit every taste; Try it Tuesdays are perfect for craft and cask experimenting with flights of three at £3, and no better way to try out the ingeniously simple or sophisticated artisan pizzas during Thursday’s 2-4-1 pizzas.

As the lights go down at Friday night’s VIP launch event (29th July) from 7pm-2am, the atmosphere and music ramp up when local ‘Two Far Cajon’ acoustic and drum duo cover classics from 8.30pm, local talent a regular Friday music fixture ahead of Saturday party music; a scene setter for many a well-groomed party-goer for weekends to come.

General Manager, Matt Sporne said: “Nottingham needs a bar that specialises in the whole package – premium food, extensive drinks menu, atmosphere, customer service, and that’s what we’ve created. We’ve considered every discerning creative quarter customer and we have an offer to suit.

Customers hoping to join the VIP party 5-7pm, Friday 22nd July should RT and follow @FaradaysNotts on twitter for the chance to win four tickets.
