Local community pub, The Railway in Lancing, recently held a grand launch party following its six-figure investment by the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company and welcomed local MP Tim Loughton to join the celebrations.

Operators Chris and Iryna Williams warmly greeted Tim on his arrival and were quick to give him a grand tour of the pub, showcasing its transformation and stunning new look.

The transformation included the installation of 2 brand-new pool tables and a dart board, a refreshed garden, and new HD TVs both inside and outside as well as a revamped extensive drinks menu featuring a range of beers and spirits.

To celebrate the Railway’s reopening, Chris and Iryna hosted a fun-filled launch party featuring stilt-walkers, a DJ playing all the classics and fire breathers which were a hit and brought the local community together for a night of merriment.

At the party, Tim was able to find out more about the investment from Chris and Iryna as well as find out how excited they are to be back open to the Lancing community and their future plans for the pub.

The pub also supports Electric Storm Youth, a charity dedicated to improving local youth’s personal and social development, and they were able to discuss their fundraising with Tim who is a patron of the charity.

“It was great to be able to attend the Railway’s relaunch party and meet Chris and Iryna. The pub has been given a new lease of life and its investment has made it a true hub for the community which was really great to see first-hand at the launch party. Chris and Iryna did a fantastic job with the launch and the entertainment was spectacular. I can’t wait to see the pub thrive in the community and I wish them all the best.”

Chris said: “It was very heart-warming to see the success of the launch party as we’ve only recently taken over as the new Operators. We put a lot of work into the launch party being a success and it couldn’t have gone better. It was a pleasure speaking with Tim and showing him around, and we look forward to welcoming him again.”
