Mother and son duo, Steph and Corey Davis, who run The Lamb Inn in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, are celebrating after being named winners of the ‘Best Turnaround’ category at Craft Union Pub Company’s annual Operator Awards.
The award recognises operators who have transformed their pubs through dedication, creativity and community spirit.
Judges praised Steph and Corey for revitalising The Lamb Inn and taking it to new heights of popularity within the local area, winning the award and beating off stiff competition with Craft Union operating over 600 pubs in England and Wales.

The safety of their guests is Steph and Corey’s number one priority, with the duo strengthening the pub’s relationship with door staff and the police over the past 12 months.
Corey and Steph said: “We’re absolutely over the moon to win Best Turnaround. The Lamb Inn is our passion, and to see how far it’s come over the past year makes this recognition even more special.
“We’re so proud of our team and the local support we’ve received. Seeing our efforts pay off, both in the atmosphere of the pub and in its performance, means the world to us.
“It’s been a true team effort with from our bar staff to door staff to the DJs, we all work hard alongside one another to create a vibrant but safe venue where the whole community knows their welcome.”
