A popular Ivybridge pub, the Exchange has recently reopened its doors following a £210,000 investment by the award-winning Craft Union Pub Company and will be hosting a grand launch party weekend on 27, 28 and 29 October.
Located in the bustling, friendly town known as the ‘Gateway to the Moor’, the Exchange has had works carried out on its interior and exterior, providing it with a brilliant new look. Inside, the space has been made larger to allow more room for guests, and the rear area transformed into a sports zone with new HD TV screens all with Sky Sports and TNT Sports for all the local sports fans to enjoy as part of the pub’s new live sports entertainment. Not to mention, the installation of a pool table and an illuminated darts board into this zone for guests to participate in some friendly competition.
The pub has also been fitted with new carpets, seating and fixtures and fittings which has given the venue a fresh feel whilst retaining its beloved character and charm. The bar has also received a makeover and is home to the Exchange’s extensive drinks menu featuring beers of Carling, John Smith’s and Beavertown, wines, spirits and cocktails.
Outside, new seating has been added, so customers can enjoy refreshing drinks with friends and family, even the children and pets, in the upgraded outdoor space.
Alongside the pub’s new live sports offering, the weekly entertainment schedule has also been enhanced, now featuring live music nights, free pool evenings and quiz nights. So gather your friends and family, and come and have some fun with the pub team.
Operators of the Exchange, Dave and Chris and no strangers to the Craft Union family as they operate a site in Kettering which has recently been recognised for its amazing charity work. The duo have been in the hospitality industry for many years, and are excited to be at the Exchange.

To celebrate the reopening of the Exchange and its investment, the pub will be hosting a grand launch weekend on Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October. Friday night will be a Halloween-themed party, so join the team for a party like no other with fancy dress, karaoke and music from a live DJ.
On Saturday, you can expect to be entertained as the pub will have a magician performing an array of tricks that will leave your mind blown. There will also be live music from the local band Groundrush. To round off a weekend of celebrations will be a day for the whole family to get involved with, as Sunday will welcome local businesses for a craft fair from 10am-3pm, where there will also be a donkey sanctuary attending. The fair will be followed by a live folk band from 6pm – 9pm.
