The people of Skegness are in for a treat later this month as the high street pub brand, Yates’s, heads to town, opening on Thursday 15 March with a celebratory launch party, the highlight of which – a real diamond giveaway.

The pub, currently the Litten Tree at The Embassy Centre, will close on Monday 5 March, when the keys will be handed over to Yates’s designers and builders to work their magic.

Over £150,000 will be spent transforming the pub into the latest Yates’s look with its familiar black and white logo, rich warm colours and furnishings, and a state of the art multi-media system. New VIP booths and dedicated dining area make it an ideal stop for lunch. Up-graded dance floor and lighting will enable the lunchtime and early evening dining pub to successfully morph into Skegness’s leading high street party pub by night.

To celebrate the launch of the new Yates’s manager Sarah Garnett will host a glamorous purple carpet re-launch party with special guests The Mayor of Skegness, Councillor Steve Kirk, and Mayoress Mrs Cath Kirk. A champagne and canapé reception for invited guests kicks off the celebrations from 6pm, followed by doors opening to the public from 9pm, when the diamond giveaway game begins.

“The first 200 guests to arrive will each receive a glass of bubbly with either a fake stone, or for one lucky person, a real diamond attached to the glass” explains Sarah, “Each customer is invited to take their ‘diamond’ to the expert jeweller we will have in the bar who will verify the real diamond, worth £1000.”

“It’s a fantastic giveaway and pretty good odds at 200 to 1”, she continued. Entry to the launch night will be £2 per person with all proceeds being donated to Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary.

Yates’s nationwide bars are famed, up and down the country, for fabulously delicious pub food at great value prices, superb sports coverage and the best late night party venues. Skegness Yates’s promises all of the above.

The new pub will open with a line-up of incredible value for money deals. New daily opening time of 9am means the pub will be offering breakfast daily, and for the first month Sarah has promised free toast to anyone enjoying breakfast at the pub. Best-on-the-high-street offers will also include two meals for £8.95, a Monday special for just £2.99 and childrens meal for just £2.50 including a drink.

Yates’s manager Sarah Garnett continued, “The team and I are excited about the launch of Yates’s. The brand is synonymous with partying and best on the high street food and drinks deals and Skegness Yates will certainly live up to that. We aim to offer our customers the perfect lunchtime or early evening destination for tasty, quality food at affordable prices but also the number one place to enjoy a party by night in a fun, yet safe environment. We will be spending the time wisely whilst the pub is getting its makeover, refreshing training so that every aspect of our service is second to none.”

“We welcome the people of Skegness to join us for our opening night on 15th and the first of our new regular party night on 17th – THE ONLY WAY IS YATES’ – that promises to put Saturday nights in Skegness well and truly on the map.
