Slug & Lettuce Nottingham Market Square is inviting locals to raise a glass to Nottingham-born broadcaster Sian Welby as she celebrates her 40th birthday, with a special one-day promotion.
The city centre venue will open an hour earlier than usual at 10am on Thursday 3 September, offering guests a discounted £5 “Welby Woo Woo” cocktail all day until close at 11pm.
Inspired by the Capital Breakfast host’s reported love of a Woo Woo cocktail and her Nottingham roots, guests simply need to visit the venue and ask for a “Welby Woo Woo” to unlock the discounted price. A non-alcoholic version will also be available, ensuring everyone can join in the celebrations.
The surprise birthday offer will be revealed live on Capital Breakfast from 7.30am on Thursday, with Slug & Lettuce Nottingham Market Square appearing on-air to announce the special promotion as part of a birthday surprise for Sian and Capital listeners.
