The British Oak in Tingley, Wakefield warmly welcomes guests to join them in Christmas merriment as their exciting event line up kicks off.

The pub, which re-opened its doors in May after an interior re-vamp, following an investment from Craft Union Pub Company, has recently been taken over by Tracey and Matthew as Operators and has become a hot spot for a range of exciting events throughout the year. This year marks the first Christmas season customers can enjoy the refreshed look of the pub and eager to spruce things up, Tracey is hosting a fantastic array of Christmas events.

Starting off strong, customers are invited to join British Oak in what is set to be a night of celebration, singing and Christmas cheer at its live singer event from 6pm – 8pm on 24th December. The following day, alongside traditional Christmas Day celebrations, the pub will be hosting a raffle at 2:45pm whereby customers will be in with a chance of winning a £500 cash draw prize! Entry couldn’t be easier as every pint bought counts as a raffle ticket.

After the indulgence of Christmas Day, British Oak will be the place to be with its huge HD mega screen. The pub will be streaming live football and so kick back, grab a pint and join your fellow fans in cheering on your favourite team.

The festive celebrations don’t end there, locally based singer Carole Laine will be helping patrons bring in the New Year with her performance from 9pm on New Year’s Eve. Carole and her mash up medleys will be sure to get you bringing in the New Year in high spirits.

To round off what is set to be a fantastic week of events, vocalist Tom Cook will be gracing the British Oak premises from 5pm -7pm on New Year’s Day with renditions of all the classic 60s through to modern day pop hits. It’s not one to miss!

Tracey, Operator at The British Oak, said: “Planning is well under way here at British Oak and the whole team is so excited to join patrons in spreading the festive cheer. We’ve got some great events planned and we can’t wait to welcome the community into our celebrations!”

This Christmas British Oak has already held a much-loved Santa hat party with pulling crackers, flowing pints, wine and a raffle to top the evening off. The Christmas magic continued the following day with a children’s Christmas party complete with craft tables, party games, prizes, presents and of course, a visit from Santa Claus and even the Grinch!

If you’re in the area, make sure to look out for the inflatable waving Santa that is currently gracing the roof of British Oak and if you plan on joining the pub this festive period the team look forward to celebrating with you.

Happy Holidays from all at British Oak!
