The Woodman, Pinner has reopened following a significant investment. The hard work and time of publican partner Steve Banks, Managing Director Dale Welch and the team have restored the pub back to its traditional roots. The site is also the sister pub to the award-winning Woodman in Ruislip with the two only a short walk from each other.
Originally built in the 1640s, the pub has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The front bar area has been redecorated in a traditional pub style, with cosy corners and pictures of the local area. The larger back bar is used as a music venue, with performances on Saturday nights from local performers covering a range of genres, there is something for everyone.
The pub’s garden has also undergone a complete transformation. The result is a Mediterranean-inspired terrace that transports customers to sunny European shores, with further investment due next year from planned sponsorship with Madri beer. The pub offers a lunchtime menu, served Monday – Friday, 12pm until 3pm, that includes a delicious array of sandwiches from a ploughman’s to coronation chicken as well as traditional classic pub plates, including ham, eggs and chips and scampi and chips. On Saturdays, the pub plays host to local companies who serve a variety of street-food week to week, including The English Indian London and its fish and chips, The Social Dough Company with its pizzas and Cluck Farmyard that serve fried chicken.
The drinks menu boasts a great range, from on tap favourites including Rebellion, Madri, Foster’s and Amstel; a good selection of real cask ales from Fuller’s London Pride to Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, a wide variety of gins and even cocktails on tap such as passion fruit martinis and espresso martinis.
A favourite amongst locals, including walking groups and dog-walkers, the pub is ideally located between the Ruislip Lido and Ruislip Woods. Community is at the heart of everything the pub does, the team work with various local community groups and organisations and are always happy to welcome more.

We are so lucky to be based in such a beautiful area and get to see so many new faces. We really want this to be a place where everyone feels welcome and comfortable no matter if they’re coming in on their own or as a group.

Our soft opening in July was incredibly successful and we have been taken aback by the reaction from our customers. We want to continue providing the amazing level of customer service that people expect and as such we are continuing table-service which has been very popular. We have also really enjoyed the opportunity to champion local businesses with our street-food Saturdays. Each of our guests has provided a delicious offering for our customers and we love being able to host them.”
Sister pub, The Woodman in Ruislip has reached the final six in the Stonegate Pub Partners Pub of the Year category of the Great British Pub Awards (GBPAs).
