A popular Lincoln pub has reopened to offer residents and visitors all the best of a great 21st century British pub in the heart of the historic city following a significant refurbishment.
The Prince of Wales on Bailgate has a prime position near the Cathedral and Castle and customers can now choose from exciting new food and drinks menus served seven days a week from 11am.
Rumour and hearsay have it that the pub is haunted by an old man but all was quiet during the month-long renovation and there have been no spooky sightings to date. Don’t worry, there is certainly nothing scary about the service and style at the Prince of Wales now!
Highlights of the renovation include private booths where up to six friends and family can enjoy all the atmosphere of the pub in their own private space. There are integrated TVs too showing live Sky Sports and BT Sports matches. Alternatively, sit back for acoustic music nights on Fridays.
New menus focus on delicious hand-stretched pizzas, wide variety of burgers with a wealth of toppings and a great range of small plates to enjoy throughout the day and night. The pre-bookable bottomless brunch is also new and promises to add a sparkle to weekend mornings! The bar will serve an ever-changing range of four craft ales, three cask ales and leading drinks brands. A new 20 plus cocktail menu will have something for everyone and there is a two for one cocktail deal, all day, every day running currently. Outside, the patioed beer garden, with views of the cathedral, is a great spot for a lunch, dinner or drinks. There is a covered outside area so it can be used year-round in all weathers.
There will be familiar faces behind the bar alongside 10 new staff and a new General manager, Joe Hindle to welcome customers to the Prince of Wales.

This renovation has given the pub a fresh atmosphere and we are excited to see people enjoy the new look here. We are a modern pub in the centre of Lincoln offering premium food and drinks without a huge price tag.
