The Old Swan, Gargrave has reopened, following a £400,000 investment. The investment sees 20 new jobs created in the local area.
Surrounded by beautiful rural areas and breath-taking scenery, The Old Swan is the perfect place for a pitstop from long walks and bike riding around Gargrave, Malham, Grassington, and Ribblehead and The Three Yorkshire Peaks. If you have your four-legged family members with you, this also includes them, as dogs are welcome.
The Old Swan has a blend of modern and traditional combined to create a welcoming environment. With four areas in the pub, there is a space for everyone – from cosy corners and a log fire to plenty of dining space. The new bar area sees new seating and a furnished wood bar bedecked with glassware, showcasing the amazing drink range. Throughout, the pub’s new look uses warm and natural tones, with bold statement pieces, feature walls and bric-a-brac. Quirky memorabilia displayed around the pub is sure to continue to catch your eye each time you visit.
The Old Swan also has a beer garden, with plenty of shrubbery creating an outdoor oasis to enjoy a drink or two or a meal outside. There are contains 20 tables outside, making it the perfect setting for the spring and summer months.
As well as being a local community pub, The Old Swan has five beautiful en-suite rooms available for you to stay in. There is a family room which is dog-friendly, three double bedrooms and one kingsize room. Breakfast is also served daily in the pub
The Old Swan reopens with a brand new, delicious menu. Highlights include afternoon tea available daily, when pre-booked. Choose the Classic or why not indulge in the Tipsy Afternoon Tea with two glasses of prosecco or two cocktails per person, to accompany your delicious sandwiches, scones and desserts. On Sundays, The Old Swan also serve Sunday roasts, with all the trimmings and unlimited Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and gravy. With all your favourite cuts of meat, a hearty mushroom wellington and kid’s roasts, there is something for everybody at the table. From the Lunch Date menu to a delicious selection of dinner options, there is something for everyone, including crowd-pleasing sharing dishes to light bites and comforting pies with mash and gravy. Food is served from 11am to 9pm daily, making it the perfect place to pop in any day of the week.
There is also an extensive drinks menu which includes classic cocktails that we all know and love, and an array of popular and indeed local beers and cask ales, including Doom Bar, Black Sheep and Ilkley Blonde. The Old Swan also has a Gin of the Month special, offering you the opportunity to find your new favourite tipple. The wine menu has so much variety, with over 20 bottles you are sure to find one you love. And why not pair it with one of the delightful cheese or charcuterie boards.

The Old Swan will be hosting Quiz nights every Thursday, where you can put your knowledge to the test. The Old Swan will also hold Coffee and Cake Mornings every Thursday from 10am, you can pop in and relax or come in for a good old chat. The pub will also welcome a live acoustic performance from Stealing Tamar on Saturday 23 April from 8pm.
