The Old Post Office is the pub for everyone – from families to sports fans and music lovers alike.

And now the Stonegate Pub Company-owned venue in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is about to get even better thanks to a fabulous £110,000 makeover.

The pub closed its doors on Sunday, 16th October, and will reopened with a VIP night for invited guests on Thursday 27th October. Guests were treated to prosecco, new menu samplers and entertainment from music act The Soul Man.

What’s more they will be able to get a first glimpse of the new look Old Post Office – which is getting a new colour scheme, six improved HD screens coupled with improved wi-fi .

The pub also reopened with a new autumn/winter menu, a new improved and healthier pick and choose children’s menu and is joining the craft beer revolution. The pub will launch with two brand news beers, the ever popular Brewdog IPA and Blue Moon.

Assistant manager Sonya Steed, who along with manager Claire Holden have a combined 22 years at the pub, said: “The locals are really looking forward to the changes. We’re a town centre pub, with 80% of our custom being regulars.

“We look forward to welcoming new faces be it young party goers, ladies who lunch, or families with kids.”

The Old Post Office offers great value food, including two meals for £7.49; lunch and a drink from £5.29 or pick and mix planks of three dishes from £7.49.

The pub is also holding a children’s Halloween party on Sunday, 30th October – where families can join in with arts and craft, are encouraged to come in fancy dress and join in party games from 10am till 12pm. Tickets cost £3.
