The Flintknappers, Brandon held a knockout darts tournament this month, welcoming a championship winning professional darts player Keith Deller.

 

Co-Operators of The Flintknappers, Joanne Day and Casey Drayton recently organised and held a knockout darts tournament welcoming pub regulars and the local community to participate. The team at the pub are supporters of darts and have local teams play at the pub, as there are two darts boards. With there already being a darts buzz in the pub, the tournament saw a large number of individuals taking part. The knockout tournament proceeded until the final two players were selected. After playing the final round, the winner of the competition was local customer Phil.

 

Phil received the winning prize that any darts lover would dream of, getting to play a round of darts with former professional darts player Keith Deller and a signed shirt from Keith. However, it was not just Phil, the winner of the tournament who got to play with Keith but most of the participants got to have a go at playing against him.

 

Casey Drayton, Co-Operator of The Flintknappers, said: “We really love darts at the pub and support any local teams and individuals that wish to play here. The knockout darts tournament was a great idea to bring the pb’s love of darts and the local community together for the day. We encourage anyone within the Brandon area to come and play darts at the pub.”

 

Joanne Day, Co-Operator of The Flintknappers, added: “It was great to see everyone involved showing their competitive side and having fun playing darts against one another. Some great scores were reached during the rounds, and everyone did so well. It was also brilliant to have Keith Deller attend the tournament and see him play darts with all the customers, it truly showed the community involvement the pub has. Our darts boards are open to anyone whether you play or just want to have some fun amongst friends.”
