Popular Runwell pub, the Quart Pot is set to reopen on Thursday 30 November after its short closure to undergo a £433,000 investment by the award-winning Stonegate Group.

The longstanding local, most famous for hosting the first meeting of a local Salvation Army group 130 years ago, has been fully refreshed throughout with works being carried out on the pub’s interior and exterior, as well as the addition of festive dishes to the food menu and revitalised entertainment offerings.

Inside, the pub has been transformed with the addition of new lighting, fixtures, fittings and bric-a-brac providing a fresh look to the venue, whilst retaining its beloved character. New fixed seating areas have been installed, offering plenty of options to sit back and relax with friends and family, especially around the cosy fireplaces. You can even bring your four-legged friends along as the pub is dog-friendly.

The Quart Pot has also received the addition of a new function room, which will be used every day as a place to sit back and relax as well as being the perfect space for guests’ events and will be available for booking. The bar has also been revamped, providing a new place to peruse the extensive drinks menu featuring a range of beers, cask ales, wines, spirits and cocktails.

As well as enjoying your favourite tipple, why not try some of the Quart Pot’s delicious new festive dishes and sides. From a hearty turkey and ham pie and glazed pigs in blankets to a sweet festive sundae these comforting foods will be sure to get in the Christmas spirit! As well as the new additions, you can enjoy plates from the pub’s well-loved menu including pub classics, heavenly desserts and sharer plates.

At the helm of the Quart Pot and ready to begin the pub’s exciting new chapter is General Manager, Gemma Love. She is no stranger to the industry, as she has been with the pub for seven years and her work there has been crowned by the British Institute of Innkeeping numerous times, winning the ‘Heart of the Community’ award. Giving back and supporting charities is important to Gemma, and when the pub reopens, she and the team will be collecting toys for a local hospital and hospice as well as collecting food and raising money for a local food bank.

Gemma said: “I am so excited to reopen the doors to the Quart Pot and welcome in all the locals for a drink. Our investment has transformed the pub and it looks amazing, we hope you all love it as much as we do. The team and I look forward to welcoming you all to try our new festive food menu alongside your favourite drink, we cannot wait to hear what your favourite dishes are.

“We are anticipating a lot of fun to be had at the Quart Pot, especially with the festivities beginning, and we also have exciting weekly entertainment and our grand relaunch party for the local community to come along to. The team and I will also be launching our charity fundraising initiatives for the festive season, and we would love it if you would be able to support the cause. I hope to see you all very soon in our new look pub!”

Throughout the week, the Quart Pot will be hosting quiz nights, in which the whole community can get involved, so put yourself to the test, and you never know, you might win. There will also be live music nights once a month, featuring local musicians, which is the perfect way to spend a Saturday evening. With Christmas nearing, Gemma and the team look forward to sharing their festive entertainment with you, so keep your eye out for more information soon.

To celebrate the Quart Pot’s investment, Gemma and the team will be welcoming all from 6pm on Thursday 30th November for an evening of live music from Dan Kelly, great company and food and drinks.
