Homely Fakenham pub, the Rampant Horse, has reopened following a huge six-figure investment, creating three new jobs in the local community.

Situated on Queens Road, the Rampant Horse has been serving the people of Fakenham since the 1830s, with the pub’s name residing from the area’s rich horse racing history.

The pub has been completely redecorated with a full interior refurbishment that gives it a fresh look and feel, with a new range of beverages which combine old favourites with new additions set to entice locals into the renovated pub.

Externally, the pub boasts new decorations with brand-new signage, set to increase the pub’s curb appeal, making a trip to the Rampant Horse look more tempting than ever!

One of the highlights of the investments is the pub’s new outdoor drinking area, which provides one of the best outdoor drinking experiences in the sun as Fakenham locals are set to make the most of this garden before the colder months set in.

To further enhance the sports’ viewing experience, the Rampant Horse has upgraded its amenities with new Sky Q boxes, allowing it to show Sky, Sky Sports+, TNT Sports, Premier Sports, and even sport on Amazon Prime.

As part of the investment, the selection of HD TVs mean guests can now enjoy multiple matches or different sports simultaneously, making it to the go-to spot for sport in the area, with locals watching the beginning of the new Premier League season.

The pub’s new decor creates a warmer atmosphere, while the bar is equipped with a new range of great-quality beers, at even better prices.

The refurbishment also includes a new pub sports area, giving locals the chance to channel their inner Luke Littler with a brand-new dartboard, while the new pool table means guests can enjoying playing on the table while enjoying a great-value pint.

The Fakenham pub boasts a new selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive price points in the area, as well as an extensive offering of no and low alcohol beverages, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.

Situated near walking spots, well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout, with this popular venue being a favourite among guests stopping by for a pint with their pet.

Roger Mortimer, Operator of the Rampant Horse, said: “We can’t wait to welcome back both new and familiar faces to the renovated Rampant Horse, where we’re aiming to provide the best pub sport experiences in the area.

“We’re beyond excited to reopen the pub and seeing how much our guests love the new features that we have been working hard behind the scenes on, and with our packed events schedule and great-value drinks, there’s always a reason to visit.

“This six-figure investment has helped us create a more inviting and enjoyable space for the whole community. I know our guests will love it — especially the new pub sports area, which has quickly become my favourite feature.”

Reopening in style, a live DJ will be spinning tracks on Friday (29nd August) which is set to welcome back guests in their numbers with a ‘Back to School’ party, inviting guests to dress up in their old uniform. Saturday will see a special fun day take place with a special local performer set to take the stage with an amazing live performance, welcoming back guests with an unforgettable weekend of events.
