A taste of summer has arrived at the North End Tavern in Worcester Park – thanks to new beach huts being installed in the pub garden as part of an investment which has cost more than £200,000.

The Stonegate run community pub has had a complete overhaul which includes new décor, changes to the menu, new cask and craft ales and the introduction of the stylish seaside-style huts to the pub’s fantastic garden, giving a whole new meaning to ‘life’s a beach’ for the North End Tavern’s customers.

The pubs new look will be on show from 12pm on 12th August, having been closed for refurbishment for the past three weeks whilst staff have been honing their customer service skills and six new team members have been getting to grips with the business.

General manager Francesca Pollard said, “The whole community has been buzzing about the changes, and I think they are going to love what has been done to the pub.

“The most exciting change has been the introduction of the beach huts. I know they will be really well received by our customers, we have already had great feedback from people who have had a sneak peek at them.”

The food and drink offer has been refreshed and enhanced with the introduction of a range of cask ales including Dizzy Blonde 4.4% ABV and Adnams Ghost Ship 4.5% ABV.

With cocktails like Sex on the Beach and Pina Coladas from £4.95, Carlsberg at £2.65 and a bottle of wine from £9.95 the North End Tavern offers good value, in the relaxed environment.

Two main meals are on offer for £9.99 alongside weekly rotational specials including the Monday Mighty Burger Bar and the Great Grills on a Thursday from £5.99. For a lighter bite diners can enjoy courgette cannelloni or spring vegetable risotto for £7.29, delicious and fewer than 600 calories.

The pub has an exciting calendar of special events running throughout the week with the best in sports viewing on offer from Sky and ESPN, team darts, pub quizzes and a variety of live music.

A VIP champagne reception with invited special guests, including Cllr Richard Clifton, Mayor of Sutton, takes place at 5pm on the 12th.
