Micky Carpenter and Mark Villers otherwise known as the M‘n’M duo at The Cross Keys pub in Erdington are taking on the challenge of a lifetime – the ‘road to nowhere’. The general manager, Micky and his mortgage adviser friend Mark will be physically pushing themselves to the limit on Saturday 26th April, to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s cancer ward.

“We will be rowing 3 miles, running half a marathon and cycling 44 miles – all in fancy dress and in the lounge of the pub” said Micky Carpenter, the general manager of The Cross Keys, which is owned and operated by the award winning Stonegate Pub Company.

“We are urging the people of Birmingham to turn up in force and in fancy dress to cheer us on. It will be brilliant for the whole community tocome together for a great day and to help us to raise as much money as possible for the hospital. The ‘road to nowhere’ will start at 1.00pm and celebrations and entertainment will continue on until late.

“Local DJ’s will be controlling the decks with live music in the pub lounge throughout the day. The party and money raising will continue with a raffle in the evening.”
