Beloved Greater Manchester pub, the Beau Geste, has reopened following a six-figure investment, marking the start of a new era for the community pub.

The pub has been completely redecorated, with the investment leading to an increase in capacity by 22 with the original pub room being opened up and finished with modern décor and new furniture, fuelling a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The new ‘Sports Lounge’ area invites darts enthusiasts to the Beau Geste to channel their inner Luke Littler with two new feature dartboards. Two new pool tables have also been added to further enhance the pub’s sport offering, creating a dedicated space for local teams, with free pool available on Monday and Thursday.

As part of the work completed, a brand-new bar has been installed to match the anticipated demand for the new-look Beau Geste, which will see guests enjoy a quicker service for their great value drinks.

Perfect for live sports, the pub has improved its amenities with new Sky Q boxes enabling the pub to show Sky, Sky Sports+, TNT Sports, Premier Sports plus sport on Prime. As a result, this enables the Beau Geste to show multiple different sports, or matches at the same time, all on a brand-new selection of HD TVs spread out across the pub.

With a capacity of 70, the popular beer garden is perfect for a summer’s day. Acting as a sun trap, this spot is ideal for enjoying the hot weather with an ice cold pint of lager with renovation works taking place in the garden.

What’s more, all the pub’s signage has been updated, giving the pub a newfound trendy and modern feel.

The Ashton-under-Lyne pub also boasts a new selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive price points in the area, as well as an extensive offering of no and low alcohol offerings, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.

Situated near walking spots, well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout, with this popular venue being a favourite among guests stopping by for a pint with their pet.

John Moxon and Collette Withers, Operators of the Beau Geste, said: “We can’t wait to reopen our doors and welcome both new and returning guests back to the new-look Beau Geste!

“The refurbishment has improved our position as the best place to watch sports in the area, while our strong events schedule consistently provides our guests with reasons to visit our pub and enjoy one of our great-value tipples.

“The six-figure investment has allowed us to create a space that is more inviting and enjoyable community hub for everyone. With our new ‘Sports Lounge’, we’re aiming to be the best place to watch and enjoy pub sports in the area!”

Reopening with a bang, the popular pub will be hosting a launch party for the ages on Friday 11th July with singer DD Murden taking to the stage from 6pm, followed by DJ Ste bringing the party with disco karaoke. There will also be plenty of opportunities to win prizes with a balloon pop game and a raffle with all proceeds going to charity, this event is not to be missed!

The pub boasts a lively weekly events schedule, featuring karaoke on six days a week, two free pool days on Monday and Thursday and a special local live music act on the last Friday of every month. Even better, guests can enjoy winning prizes on Open the Box or Spin the Wheel every week with all proceeds going to local charity, Willow Wood.
