In Exmouth for Easter? You’ll want to be!
The Merchant on The Strand is putting on an Easter Bonanza Weekender with entertainment for the whole familyandhellip;
Proving that Easter isn’t just for the little ones, the pub will start its celebrations with an Ale andamp; Cider Festival on Thursday 24th March, which will be opened by Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Chairman of Wolverhampton, John Dearnaley at 3pm.
The festival will run throughout the entire weekend, offering plenty of tasty tipples to tickle the taste buds (12 ales and 12 ciders to be exact!) such as the Merchant’s own beer made by Hunter’s Brewery, award-winning Skinner’s Porthleven, St Austell HSD and Tribute.
On Good Friday, bring your friends and family to enjoy some incredible live music as local singer-songwriter sensation Clara Bond (who was recently on BBC Introducing!) takes the stage at 9pm to dazzle guests with her latest releases including Back To You and Hands Up.
Saturday daytime is dedicated to the kiddies with games and giveaways and a prize for the best Easter costume – announced at 4pm. In the evening, there will be similar entertainment for the grown ups including fun competitions with prizes, as well as an Easter treat for anyone who comes dressed in a bunny outfit.
The final day of the Easter Bonanza (Sunday) will see the launch of The ‘M’ Factor, a new karaoke competition that will run for 10 weeks with a new heat every Saturday. The big finale will take place on Sunday 29th May – guest judges will choose a winner, who will receive the ‘M’ Factor prize of £200.
Howeverandhellip;the real fun actually starts on Sunday 20th March. There will be a week long egg hunt with lots of yummy treats hidden across Exmouth (not just chocolate!).
