A local favourite pub in Hackney is set to re-launch this Thursday 10th August, after a re-vamp and change of name. Formerly the Arsenal Tavern, the pub will now be known as Brook Gate. The community hub now has a new direction, and will be holding an entertainment-filled launch party on Friday 11th, with karaoke and giveaways that customers won’t want to miss!

The Brook Gate has long been established as a local, traditional pub with a great range of lagers, real ales, wines and spirits. Just a stones throw from Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, the pub is a proud supporter of the club, and shows all sporting events on it’s HD screens.

As well as a sporting pub, the team at The Brook Gate are also huge music enthusiasts, and are extremely partial to quality music! The pub will be hosting weekly live music, and acoustic nights in the bar, as well as live shows. Customers can now get involved too, as the community hub will be hosting some exciting open mic nights, every Thursday for budding musicians to partake in, and also will now host karaoke nights every Friday for all to get involved in!

Sam, operator at the Brook Gate, said “I can’t wait to bring more music nights into the pub and welcome customers back old and new. It’s always amazing to see local talent and how it brings the community together, so if you’re a local musician, or just love to listen, the Brook Gate will now be the place to be to discover your new favourite artist!”

The Brook Gate will be throwing a launch party on Friday 11th August, to celebrate the new name, new lease of life, and to get the local community together for a fun-filled night of karaoke, competitions and giveaways!
