Deputy Mayor Cllr Doris Macknight marked the launch by pulling the first pint, supporting the investment which has created two new jobs.

“We’re making a great pub even better, with the most superior sports viewing, and a community hub of which we’re really proud” said manager David Martin.

Six brand new HD screens and a large projector, have been installed for uninterrupted sports viewing, showing everything from boxing to football and horse racing, and to make sure no scores are missed, table service is being provided during big games.

“We have a diverse customer base. That’s why we’ve focussed on choice and value with the new menu,” added David.

‘King’s Feast’ satisfies everyone’s desires with dishes from social tapas to the big burger challenge – four 6oz beef burgers, cheese and bacon, a chicken schnitzel, pulled chicken and chorizo served with double chips, perfect for man vs food challenge, but also good to share!
