Renowned Lichfield bar, Walkabout, has now reopened as the brand-new Bar Home – a Social Pub and Kitchen venue that is set to bring great food, great beer, stone-baked pizzas and 2-4-1 cocktails to Lichfield.

Previously a Walkabout venue, owners Stonegate Group have now moved the bar to its Social Pub and Kitchen division under the new name of Bar Home, with the investment also bringing a number of exciting new features.

The venue opened its doors on Monday, with a huge reopening party planned for this Friday (3rd October). The reopening party is set to introduce Lichfield to Bar Home in unforgettable style.

With stilt walkers, fire breathers, and magicians performing, the reopening extravaganza will kick off Bar Home as they mean to go on. But that’s not all, a live singer and saxophone player will be soundtracking one of the biggest parties Lichfield has ever seen. Closing at the end of August, the renovations have been undertaken during a four-week period which has seen a full decoration of the venue, with brand-new state-of-the-art lighting found throughout Bar Home, helping further fuel the party atmosphere.

As part of the rebrand to Social Pub and Kitchen, the venue will now boast comfortable fixed booth seating, all equipped with HD TVs and an upgraded audio-visual system that will have Bar Home sounding better than ever.

The new investment is set to make the popular bar the home of pub sport in Lichfield, with all the major sports channels being shown on the venue’s many HD TV screens. Whether it’s Premier League football, NFL, rugby, boxing, or Formula 1, the venue has every sporting event covered.

One of the best places to watch sport in Lichfield – the addition of new HD TVs including a huge 65-inch TV in the bar’s sports zone have hugely enhanced the matchday experience. Guests can also make the most of two new interactive dart boards, a traditional dart board, two pool tables and an arcade game, all set to make a night at Bar Home one of the best nights out in the area.

What’s more, it’s not just the venue that’s getting a refresh, the reopening also marks the debut of a brand-new food and drinks menu. The food menu will feature the likes of deliciously cheesy Detroit-style pizzas and juicy burgers amongst other tasty dishes.

While the drinks menu has cocktail lovers covered. The revamped menu sees the addition of some signature Social Pub and Kitchen favourites; the Coco Paloma featuring coconut tequila, Rum Bungo with Sailor Jerry’s rum and Cherry Cola, a sweet mix of Sourz Cherry, Coca-cola, finished with some cola sweets.

The new drinks menu continues to highlight the pub’s dedication to offering the best range of beverages in the area with crafts, world beers and cider at some of the most competitive prices in the area. However, those not drinking alcohol will be able to choose from an extensive range of no and low alcohol options, ensuring everyone is accommodated to.
