The Valentine, Aintree has reopened, following a £400,000 investment. The investment has seen five new jobs created in the local area.

 

This popular community pub, situated just a short distance away from Aintree Racecourse, has kept its warm and welcoming character but has had an upgrade. Inside, The Valentine a fresh, bright feel. The lightly coloured walls, combined with modern wooden floor, and the warm lighting, gives the pub a sports-bar vibe. The pub a large inside bar, fully stocked with favourites including Birra Moretti, Carling, three cask options with two from local breweries, and a range of wine for all tastes. There is also a pool table and darts board in the bar area, perfect for some friendly competition between friends. The pub also has a private function room perfect for any event from meetings to dinner with friends and families. Outside, there is another fully stocked bar and outside kitchen, surrounded by benches, making The Valentine’s garden perfect for the upcoming summer months.

 

The Valentine is where you need to be if you love sports. They have installed 12 television screens, with sports packages including Sky Sports and BT Sports. Paired with the new food and drinks menus, it makes for the perfect place to watch all the sporting action as well as being a social hub for race days.

 

After its short closure, The Valentine reopens with a brand new, delicious menu. Serving classic dishes such as fish and chips and pies, amazing sharing plates, and a wide variety of mouth-watering burgers, there is a dish for all. Breakfast is served daily until 12pm, which includes options of a Full English and Breakfast Wrap. Sundays are for roasts, and The Valentine offer the choice of Turkey, Pork and Beef, served with all the trimmings, bottomless Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and gravy. There is also vegetarian, and kids roasts available, which means there is something for everybody at the table. Food is served from 10am to 9pm daily, making it the perfect place to pop in any day of the week.

 

It is not just the food menu that has had a transformation, but the drinks have too. The large bar is accompanied by an extensive drinks menu that includes classic cocktails that we all know and love, and an array of local and regional beers and cask ales, including Yellow Submarine and Fab Four. Not to mention their Gin trees for sharing.

It is amazing to see The Valentine’s transformation, it feels like a homely pub where the local community and guests are welcome to come inside.

The Valentine has lots of exciting events coming up including Bottomless Brunch and a George Michael tribute act performing a set on Mother’s Day, from 5pm, Bottomless Brunch for the Grand Nationals from 10am and an Egg Hunt, Easter Bunny and raffle for Easter, on Sunday 17 April. The Valentine will be putting your knowledge to the test, with their regular Quiz Nights every Thursday from 8pm.
