Pub-goers in Birmingham are in for a new year treat when the Tennis Court in Perry Barr reopens on Thursday 24th January following a £200,000 investment.

The revamp makes the Tennis Court the perfect place to socialise with friends and family whatever the occasion or time of year – with a new 110″ video wall sure to be a hit with sports fans and a refurbished outdoor space providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy warmer days.

The pub’s menu features an extended selection of veggie and vegan specials such as cauliflower dhansak curry and Thai lentil pie, as well as burgers, kid’s meals and much more. Those seeking a tipple have an extensive range of gins to choose from be they served as a cocktail or in a highball glass with plenty of ice, generous wedges of citrus fruit and the mixer of choice. To add further temptation there is also 2-for-1 cocktails and a range of cask ales to choose from, in addition to a comprehensive wine list and soft drink selection.

A host of special weekly offers will ensure the pub continues to provide well-priced food and drink. They include discounted big plates on ‘Monday Club’; burgers and a choice of drink on Tuesdays; pie and a pint on Wednesdays; a grilled dish and a drink on quiz night Thursdays; any classic dish and a drink on Fridays, all from £5.99; and five pick ‘n’ mix dishes for £9.49 on Saturdays. A calendar of events, including poker, karaoke and darts nights, ensures there’s something to entertain everyone each week.

With a large selection of flat-screen TVs with Sky Sports and table service, the Tennis Court is the perfect place to enjoy sport of any kind – from football, including Aston Villa’s televised fixtures, to boxing and NFL. And with Six Nations Rugby kicking off in early February there’ll be no better place to experience the games be it solo or with pals.

General Manager Elysia Mosedale will be celebrating the opening with a grand launch party between 5pm and 7pm on Friday 25th January, welcoming new and existing customers with a free glass of fizz and canapes to show off the new menu. Guests will also be entertained by an Abba tribute band on Saturday 26th January.

Elysia said: “We are incredibly excited to relaunch the Tennis Court pub to the people of Perry Barr. Our new look and our food and drinks have been carefully thought through to make us both family friendly and a great place to meet with pals. We look forward to welcoming everyone in.”
